Prime Minister Imran Khan will address the Tiger Force, a volunteer force formed on his instructions, tomorrow, sources told Geo News.
According to sources, the PM will record a special message for the Tiger Force members and will also be issued on social media. The PM in the message will also issue necessary guidelines for the Tiger Force members.
Fatality rate in country far less than UK, Spain, and US: Asad Umar
Federal Minister for Planning and Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar stated that the fatality rate in the country is far less than the US, UK and Spain but warned that precautionary measures should be adopted to avoid making the disease contagious.
The minister also shared that all the decisions regarding relaxation in lockdown will be taken after May 9 in consensus with all the provinces.
Briefing the media persons in Islamabad on Sunday, he said the National Coordination Committee on coronavirus will decide the future course of action.
“Decisions will be taken in such a manner that they do not paralyse our healthcare system,” said Asad Umar. He added that the restrictions will be eased gradually to provide livelihoods to the people.
“We have significantly enhanced the capacity of our healthcare system. We currently have 1,400 ventilators for Coronavirus patients and 900 more will be added in two months” said Umar, adding that currently there are 35 coronavirus patients on ventilators.
