Former cricketers furious on pitch prepared for match against bangladesh

Inzamam-ul-Haq and Rashid Latif have shown their anger on the pitch prepared for the first T20 match
Former Pakistan cricket team captains Inzamam-ul-Haq and Rashid Latif have shown their anger on the pitch prepared for the first T20 match played between Pakistan and Bangladesh at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore yesterday.

Former chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq said that curators should make a pitch suitable for T20 cricket and also follow Australian who prepared falt tracks for T20 matches.

“It was not a typical T20 pitch, fans were here to see fours and sixes. The batsmen were so uncomfortable that even 142 runs were looking like a gigantic total for Pakistan. Curators must make a better T20 pitch,” former batsman said.

“Aussies prepared great pitches for T20 where big scores were an average score, we should follow the same,” he added.

Former Wicket-keeper batsman Rashid Latif focused on a point if the pitches would be the same so the same thing will be witnessed in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

“It is very difficult to make pitches in winters and if pitches will be same in PSL, so we will witness the same. We are not saying that there must be 200+ run pitch but the average score should be around 160-170,” Rashis said.

He also said that we can not judge the performances of debutants Ahsan Ali and Haris Rauf at this pitch.

It must be noted Pakistan won the first T20I match by five wickets courtesy Shoaib Mailk’s power pack return. The second match will be played today at the same venue.
